silverthorne: (Caffiene seizures)
I'm awake.

I need things from the store.

Everyone else is in church, which makes it the perfect time to go. And yet, I have no interest in peeling myself off the floor just yet.

Maybe after the first cup of coffee...

Also:

Why are we getting flood alerts when there isn't even any rain activity on the radar for the entire freaking area? Is there a giant monster storm just to the north of where the satellite is pointed or something?

You should read this one if you're into the X-men:

Hee! SO TRUE!!!!

ETA: Oh great, and now my twisted little brain is coming up with 'What do you do with a frozen Phoenix' lyrics. Lovely. O.o

I said I wouldn't yesterday, but I'm gonna.

Beware, my friends, for the farmer in me has gotten the better of my common sense.

It's rather like getting cornered by the lady with the 5,000 family pics. )

Happy Birthday, Jon!

So...I stepped on the scale a few minutes ago just for the hell of it.

...I was bored, what can I say?

It read 181....which means that it's possible that tomorrow morning it will read somewhere under 180 when I first get up. (In case you're wondering, it's recommended to weigh yourself first thing in the morning after you eliminate, but before you eat, drink, or exercise and cause your body to retain water, waste, and food weight. Your body weight can fluctuate up to five pounds over the course of the day).

If so...yeah. I'll retain the glee until morning.

But for the first time since November, I'm anticipating my Monday weigh-in.

*Crosses fingers*

silverthorne: (Storm Front)

Yep, first watch of the year.

silverthorne: (From Sky to Ocean)

Tornado warnings until 2am.

Thunder but not a lot of rain.

Hellacious wind gusts, and a cold front bearing down on us from the north west (it's 70 degrees out right now--the temp on the other side of the front is in the 30's).

Fun times. At least I'll be sure to hear the air sirens, since they're only 500 yards away at the traffic light XD. (Now watch me do my usual trick of incorporating the noise into whatever dream I'm having at the time and never wake up if they happen to go off).

Good night, folks!
