Do you find mini-goals easier to reach than maxi-goals?

It's definitely less frustrating.

Over-all, I'm trying to lose 91 pounds, which is going to take a while. But if I aim for ten pounds at a time, I'm a lot less likely to get really frustrated with the pace and either 1) give up or 2)Decide to go for a 'crash' diet to lose faster.

With ten pound goals, the time in between 'you reached your goal!' is significantly shortened and makes me feel I accomplished more. :)
