Comment here and I'll assign you a band. You pick your 10 favorite songs by said band and post them in your journal. You can even pick your genre/decade if you want (No guarantee I'll pick a band you know, though. *g*).

I was assigned either Styx or Metallica by [livejournal.com profile] rebl1969. I picked Styx, both because I doubt as many people will know their stuff enough to post, and because, well, honestly? Although I like Metallica, I don't like Metallica. Which means I recognize their work, but I'd be damned if I could remember the title of more than three songs on any given day. Unlike, oh, say, Bon Jovi. *g*

Anyhow. Styx. The Top Ten As Seen By Anne...

1) Blue Collar Man
2) Renegade
3) Come Sail Away
4) The Grand Illusion
5) Snowblind
6) Crystal Ball
7) The Best of Times/Rockin' The Paradise
8) Haven't We Been Here Before? (Actually, I love the whole album, but this was the first song I thought of this morning and it was this or Double Life)
9) Show Me The Way (Yes, I'm a sap. So?)
10) Suite Madam Blue/Miss America (another tie. Depends on whether I want to sear my ears or not).

#8 yes yes yes!!! Kilroy Was Here is so underrated.

What about "Man In The Wilderness"? That's an awesome song.

*nods nods*

Yes. I very much love the whole of Grand Illusion, Paradise Theater and Kilroy Was Here. I also liked Caught in the Act--I managed to destroy three different cassettes from use and abuse.

Sadly though, I no longer have that particular tape (Or Kilroy, for that matter). :/

Heh. Do you want to take a walk in the past or more recently?

Because I'm thinking between Queen or Fallout Boy (or Panic! At the Disco) for you.

And, you've got Metallica in your userinfo under "interests". Perhaps you're just interested in them?
Ever heard Beatallica? http://www.beatallica.org/

It is. See, the thing is? I have a few cassette copies of 80's Metallica from my BF's of the time vinyl collection that he made for me. Problem being? Other than putting 'Metallica' on the label, he didn't list a single one of the songs. So...I know I like the tapes (still have them, even), but as to what I'm actually listening to? No clue. And this guy was a band student, too. You'd think he'd know better.

At the moment, the only title I remember is 'One', which I adore...and...'Nothing Else Matters'...and...yeah. There's more, but I would have to go find the discographies and lyrics first. This is where my lack of retaining names becomes pretty clear to most folks. XD. (I also have a nasty habit of mixing them and Queensryche up. Don't ask me why.)

And no I haven't. When I get home, I'll be sure to click the link! Thankies. :)
