It just hit me
Jan. 26th, 2008 01:38 pmThe doctor didn't tell me I was anemic after the blood tests came back...and I have been anemic ever since I was pregnant at 22 (and badly enough since age 27--when I moved in with a certain someone, imagine that--that I consistantly disqualified from giving blood because of it).
She said nothing about me being anemic. Which, if I still were, I am assuming she would have told me, right? Which means...it's gone? Right?

Date: 2008-01-26 10:07 pm (UTC)Also, since I've been on the Synthroid, I have to go for bloodwork every year to check my thyriod level. Last summer I went and had like life's blood sucked from me per usual. They called and gave me my cholesterol levels, etc, over the phone and said they weren't going to change my synthroid dosing. Then, come to find out several months later that they completely forgot to test for thyroid levels at that time, oops, and I had to do it ALL OVER AGAIN. And that was the WHOLE POINT of getting the bloodwork done IN THE FIRST PLACE. You know?

Date: 2008-01-26 10:44 pm (UTC)Well, I signed up for everything, and they double-checked what I wanted like, five times. That, and they gave me the print-outs from all my labs. Everything reads mid-range 'normal' on those. They were also really good about calling me twice to make sure I had results from different things. :)
One thing I didnlt think to do was ask them to let me know what my bloodtype was, which I haven;t been sure of for a a while now. I remember it being AB negative, but I trust that memory like I'd trust my ex if she said she loved me. ;)
So likely I'll just ask them to double check when I make the appointment to check my bloodtype.
