Not knowing anything about the game in question, that's just my opinion.

it's multidimensional, but there are ample pockets of realities that characters cna come from. I could play Derek in just about any way I wanted. I probably wouldn't retire him, becuase I'd like to keep him active (especially his main journal), but I'm debating the feasability of playing married, has kids and a lot of responsibilities on his new home world Derek in the new setting.

I can easily set up tags and/or subject headers for posting in his persnal journal so people can tell the difference between 'old' nexus Derek and 'new' Derek...just trying to figure out which version to use (but I also thought to toss in the last choice in case people are just plain tired of his vampire hunting ass).

Understandable.

I'm not saying 'stop playing him', I just think bringing him to a new place might get confusing for people, esp if you're trying to play them as seperate.

S'all good!

The game was made for transplanting old Nexus characters into a new comm/setting, as well as have a place to make new characters, so there'd be zero confusion in regards to bringing Derek as is into it.
