Pretty much done for
Mar. 14th, 2008 07:52 amMorning Two of the Footmonster:
We woke up and had our morning pettings, our morning fall-out-of-bed, and the stroll to the potty. She tried to convince me again that I didn't feed her enough breakfast, but a few cuddles and she forgot what she was complaining about.
And even though she actually sat three feet away from the door and watched me mess with an add that got stuck on the knob, she didn't even try for the open door. It keeps looking more and more like she was an indoor baby that got dumped for whatever reason, because I'm pretty sure she would have bolted by now if she was used to beig outside and/or she knew where her humans were. Lord knows she had plenty of time this morning while I was messing with that stupid rubberband. :/
She's still gulping her food, but not as bad this morning. I'm hoping that by the end of the weekend, she'll feel secure enough to not feel she has to snarf it down within two minutes and then think there won't be any more.
A co-worker gave me a bag of dry Iams, so I can mix that into the moist now (which was a recommendation from my old vet in Lewisville) for variety and for her tooth health, and I can leave a small handful in the bowl for snacking when I leave for work in the mornings. I'll have to watch that though--both Foot (I want my cat to be 'Foot' not 'Fat'), and to make sure I'm not attracting any bugs. Which is really easy to do in Texas, even if you keep you place spotless and sprayed (the complex sprays every Tuesday for bugs...but, yeah...apartments).
I'm going to try and set up a vet appointment for Foot Monday or Tuesday--make sure she's as healthy as she seems, get her shots, see if she's already spayed or if I need to set up an appointment for that, etc. Yeah, I have posters up, and I might be Foot-less soon. But as long as she's in my house, she's my cat, and my cats get taken care of.
