We went and got Foot's stitches out and got her booster shots.

Doctor said her belly looked great, and she's gained 6 ozs in weight. :)

Also, I got complimented. The staff is pretty sure she was close to being a stray when I took her in. She was scared to death while she was there, and they had to do the 'grab by the nape of the neck' thing to keep her from squirming out of their hold (it made me cringe, but they kept her secure and hind legs held well, so she wasn't being hurt, just held immobile).

But when the techs or the doc didn't have hold of her, they handed her to me. And she let me curl my arms around her and hold her close and she and hid her face in my arms. The compliment/observation was that I was doing well, because she trusted me to hold her like that instead of running away and/or trying to escape the room even though she was obviously scared.

This made me absurdly proud for some reason.

Anyhow, got her home. She was just as surprised to be back in the apartment as she was last time I took her, and still had to check everything out. She took some treats and went and napped under the bed for a few hours, but she seems mostly fine now. :)

I love my cat.

Foot's stealth-fu ain't quite right in that picture. :)

I'm glad she did so well. And it is to your credit that she's happy and secure. You're keeping a promise you made yourself when Sheia had to go.

Go you. Go Foot. Go you. :)

Ah, but she was asleep, so it counts, right? ;)

She really is a sweetie. The techs did say that she might end up being one of those cats that runs and hides when strange people come into the house, so I might have 'invisi-cat' when friends come to visit.

Aw! External validation! Always good.

Of course, you're an excellent cat-mama! THAT'S why she trusts you even when scared! You, dear, have yourself a fuzzy, four-legged toddler (with claws).

I am also an over-protective cat-momma if you look at my next two posts this morning. Heh.

I'd be a mess as a human mom. XD
