silverthorneI've decided something (of no particular importance except to me).
Which is people really need to get over the whole 'youthful looks are good; looking older is bad' thing.
NO, really, they do. It's no wonder half of Hollywood is nuts, when their public expects them to look like they did when they were twenty when, in many cases, they're at least twice that age now. And the rest know they're headed that way and they better start making plans right now for when it happens to them if they want a job at that point.
And to all you folks out there going 'Bret is cute, Richie is ugly'?
Fuck off. Richie looks damn fine for someone who is almost fifty and has not done something like trying to stretch his face back to his ears to keep looking like he did in his 20's. And if he'd quit drinking, the puffy face shit would go away. The man looks fine IMHO, in more than one way. Back off. Go stretch your own fucking face (and pay the consequences later) if you're THAT stuck on looks.
Gah.
...okay. So I guess I'm in a foul mood this morning. :P

You know who's still really cute for his age and just gets no appreciation? Dave. I'm just sayin'. And Nikki Sixx looks great too, except for all the tattoos.

(But then, I like to pan on Jon. And his glow in the dark eyes and teeth. And lack of eyebrows. And...yeah. Because I have to. Really. I do. :) ).
I...was never really into Nikki Sixx, although from a detached POV, he was cute before the tattoos and grunge thing happened to him and Tommy. I have't seen recent pics so I wouldn't be able to do a 'and now he looks' commentary on him.

Although it could just be he takes extremely good care of himself. He's only 6 (or is it 8?) years older than I am.
I do know he has got to be using stage make-up, though. I've seen candid pics of him without the benefit of having time to prepare--he looks more like Derek when he's looking his roughest in the film, rather than all nice and smooth like, say, when he goes on Oprah. He still looks good though, even 'naked' in the face. Just older.
