Blow twelve dollars?

Work has this deal with Glamour Shots coming up where you can, for $12, get yourself made up in four different ways, get pics taken, and walk away with a decent pic of yourself (I'm presuming you can pay more if you want to buy the whole print run).

I'm debating doing this for a few reasons.

1) Taking pictures of myself is a pain in the ass
2) Other than self-pictures taken for the weight diary, I have no recent ones of me to show to other folks.
3) Someone else, who knows a lot more than I, can get me dolled up and hopefully looking good.
4) Might be fun.

So, guys, what's your take? Would you or would you not? Also, anyone else ever have this done, and what did you think of your experience?

You know, I'm not big on getting all dolled up and such, but for twelve dollars that sounds pretty good. I mean, you might find out something really inexpensive you can do that makes you feel happy about how you look, and that's always useful.

I'm really not, either. It gets to be a pain in the neck, takes way too much time out of doing other things, etc. Hell, my own default is jeans, t-shirt and concealer around the eyes when the raccoon rings get too obvious, and that's about it. Most of my futzing has to do with cleaning, face masks and moisturizer so that I don't end up looking like the Mummy's mother by 45.

But sometimes I do wonder what I'd look like if I held myself to 'higher' *cough* standards...and it's always nice to have a pic or two around that you can show off where you don't have to go 'oh, yeah, I had allergies that day; that's why my eyes are so red...'. :)

If you have the money, and don't need it for catfood or gas? I say go for it. It's fun, and harmless, and it might give you an idea on what to do, or what colors to use if you ever want to put on makeup yourself and go someplace. Not that you need it, you're pretty without it. But still, if you ever do....
