IF Foot had a pedigree...

It looks like it would be this.
She does seem to match most of the criteria.
Personally, I'm just glad I have such a sweet, cute, loving little girl.
And yes, she's getting to to the point where she likes being picked up and held--now we're working on the 'moving while being held' part. :)

Date: 2008-05-28 05:14 pm (UTC)Here's the other things that stuck out from the breed standard that are Foot-like:
The tail should be clearly visible above the back when the cat is alert and is not to exceed the hock in length. --Foots ends right at the top of the hock joint.
The optimum tail is articulate and nearly straight with the slightest of curves. Hee! Helicopter tail!
The American Bobtail cat possesses a strong, broad modified wedge-shaped head, Not sure about the 'broad' part, but her head is wedged shaped like most american breeds...
with a distinctive brow above large almost almond shaped eyes giving it a natural hunting gaze. Its unique coat comes in both a medium, semi-dense shorthair and a medium-length longhair that is resilient and resistant to water. --I had a heck of a time getting the liquid flea spray throughout her coat.
American Bobtails are a loving, kind and incredibly intelligent cats...
They are kown for...their devotion to their owners.--I find this in evidencve when the vet noticed that although she was scared to death while there, she trusted me enough to let me hold onto, as well as trust me enough to call her onto the examine table twice, even when she was looking for a hiding place.
They easily adapt to a busy or quiet environment.--one hour total being in the apartment before she decided that was home? Yeah, I'd say she can adapt quickly.
American Bobtails bond with their family see vet comment above.
they have been found to be very well-behaved It only takes once or twice of telling her 'no' if I don't want her doing something.
They are known for their love of games and can play fetch or hide and seek for hours on end. They will often initiate a game and can be very persistent until you play with them.--Oh yes. she will drag out all of her other toys until I come over to play if sitting next to her feather wand and looking pointedly at me doesn't get me to pick it up and play with her.
They are basically quiet cats in voice, however they do trill, chirp and click when delighted.--yes, yes, and yes. She has me trilling back, too. :)
They are easily leash-trained and love to go for walks. working on this, but since it didn't take her long to at least put up with the harness part...
But yeah, non-pedigree, but I think she fits the bill very well. :)
