You know, I haven't had a cat in years. (And now, I don't think I ever can due to my husband's severe allergies.) But when I was a kid and had two cats, I found that just watching them sleep would soothe me in a way I couldn't describe.
Bonus secret: I occasionally look up pictures of cats on the internet whenever I'm upset, because just looking at them makes me feel calm. I miss having one to pet tho.
Yeah. Sleeping kitties are relaxing (if you like cats and aren't deathly allergic to them, that is).
I cmae home and collapsed on the bed. Both the girls got on with me and we all 'loafed' for an hour (They didn't even get into a fight with each other!). I felt a LOT better after that.
It's too bad you can't have a cat. :/ That's got to be somewhat heartbreaking to not be able to have a favored type of pet.
Well, in the future, Leon may be able to get some allergy medicine, and we may be able to find an apartment (or buy a house!) where pets are allowed. Maybe then I can convince him. I love cats. :)
There's only been two times where I did not have a cat; for two years when I first lived with my grandparents in Tucson (Grandpa was both allergic and Not A Fan Of Cats), and then from when I moved out from the ex last year until Foot adopted me this past March. I never feel quite right without a cat or two in the house (I seem to be happiest when I have a pair).
