Geek alert!

Made four icons of my various characters from The Elder Scrolls and WoW. Not very creative, but I thought I'd share. :)

Thorne, from Morrowind. Yes, this is on my PC, and I'd modded the game to death. :)

Thorne; The version for Oblivion, which is on my PS3

Willowthorne, the Nelf hunter I play alongside Dominus' Nelf druid

And Arianthe, my Belf that I'll be soloing.

There is; she's all set up on the server and cooling her heals on the beginning spot (well, she will be when I sign her in) But I haven't gotten a good shot of Anyada yet.

Have you not been reading my WoW posts? (this might explain why I haven't heard from you, though. ;D )

Give me a minute--I'll see if I can get a good pic off the screen (I can't get my computer to screen capture, so I'm taking pics with my digital camera. LOL.

Ah, I have not been reading posts, this is very true! I've been gone in Seattle all weekend, and alternating between work and being sick all of this week. :V That'd explain a few things.

And whoo, Tauren babe! Yeah, any time you're ready to go, you just have to catch me, Zhanz or Tardmuffin and we'll see you on your way. I just got done running some peeps through Scarlet Monastery, so any time your cowlady needs phat lewts...

Cool. :)

I'll look out for you guys sometime this week (Not tonight, though. I should be in bed, but I'm wide awake watching disasters on TV and drawing some chick with 'elf' ears and a cow tail (Old time fairy type).

Oblivion is still one of my all-time favorite games, by far. I'm thrilled to death that there's another ES game in the making, though few details have come out about it.

*nods* I've caught glimpses of it in the Game Informer, but not a lot of info yet. I'm really looking forward to it. I have to say that other than the FF games, the ES ones are my favs. I like that it not only has definite 'stuff to do', but that there's so much of it, so it's by no means a 'if you sit down for 40 hours you can beat the game and be done with it' thing.

And if you just want to detox, you can just grab your weapons and head off into the wilds. Do a little hunting, do a little gathering, and just enjoy the visuals and sounds and passing weather and time. :)

I wish it was a MMO, but since Viviendi Universal also owns Blizzard, I doubt they'd want to compete with themselves. But I'd happily roll a Breton battlemage for that!

Too bad, because, like you, I'd be all in for it! And I'd be perfectly happy to bring in my Briton gal (I tend to make my own class, with sharp pointies, archery, alchemy, healing, security, unarmored, a few other nice things that none of the premades offer in the combo I want). I think technically that would be a 'ranger'. :)

One of my best made Morrowind characters was a Redguard warrior who specialized in, are you ready? Light armor. And I beat the main storyline with him easily - in a full set of glass armor, too.

One of my most memorable characters in Oblivion was a Breton that I made specifically to join the Dark Brotherhood and to take over before even touching the main storyline. (It turned out to be a bad idea, as you probably can guess.) Having a stealthy character in Oblivion drove me nuts. He was basically a bow assassin who could two-shot anything in the Dark Brotherhood storyline provided that a) he had distance on his side and b) he didn't miss. Which, as you can guess, didn't always work.

Sure enough, when I finish the questline, jarred nerves and all (because seriously, stealthing around Tamriel includes some very scary moments where being seen equals the end of you), I was level 20. Which meant that even in the first Oblivion portal, there were high level Daedra, most of which aren't ranged, most of which could one or two shot my very squishy assassin. Well, I was determined to finish the main questline, and eventually I did. I just learned to save my game and save often, and bring lots and LOTS of potions. I ended up taking up alchemy even at my late level because the shops couldn't keep up with my potion guzzling. Luckily, I had also my kickbacks from being the Dark Brotherhood speaker (I just had to remember to collect my gold every week).

I remember doing the large portal sequence over and over and over and just screaming at my computer each time Martin died. Martin = Leroy Jenkins. Fo real.

I prefer keeping the armor down, or even to nothing (which is why I mourned the loss of 'Unarmored' in Oblivion), so that I cna move faster and carry more loot. I also tend to 'grind' a lot before I take on anything serious--a hold over habit from Final Fantasy and being the official 'please grow this while I'm at work and we'll do actual game events when I get home' person. :) Add that and my tendency to turn on the game just for the sake of wandering through the woods with no purpose.

So, it takes me forever to finish a game (which means I may never finish Oblivion XD), but when I finally get around to doing something, I have an easier time of smacking my adversaries flat. I also spend a lot of time in Daedra spots--the dropped weapons, once I get what I want, are nice for padding the pockets with cash. :)

Yeah. Here.

Both of them are Briton (Although the Morrowind version is 'tweaked' a bit, so I called the file 'Danae'). Both have the Lady as their sign, and Intelligence and Willpower as their primaries.

For Morrowind:
Major Skills
: Longblade, Security, MArksmans, Mysticism, Alchemy.
Minor: Unarmored, Hand-to-Hand, Alteration, Restoration, Destruction

For Oblivion:
Blade, Alchemy, Alteration, Illusion, Mysticism, Marksman, Security
