WoW macros.scripts?
Sep. 26th, 2008 08:18 amBeen reading around and seeing a few things about how people's toons will do things under certain conditions that are preprogrammed.
What I'd like to be able to do is have Arianthe /pet Elder and say something to the affect of 'good boy!' after the finish of a fight, or maybe even a few random endearments.
Can anyone help me with that?

But if you just would like to do it occasionally or if you happen to RP with someone or something, a macro where you would click it would be pretty good. It wouldn't drive anyone who's not RPing bonkers and you can bring it into play if you are and it wouldn't make it impossible to see what others are typing. But a mod would do it EVERY time you did it.
To do this, just type "/macro" to bring up your macro menu, click on "make new macro," a box will open up on the side and you type in the name of the macro (it's not really important beyond identifying the macro) and then choose an icon for it. Then, in the box below where all your macro's are kept, type "/party (Or '/say' if you want everyone near you to hear it)" and then type in what you want to say whenever you click it. Then you'd just drag the icon in the cache of macro's down to your bar somewhere, so when you click on it, you'll say whatever you typed in.
And a word of warning, cause I know I personally don't like it when people say it to everyone. Just try to be considerate of other people if they're with you or going to be hearing you.
Also, you can connect moves into your macro by typing "/cast" and then the name of the spell/move being used. Also, give each new "/" a new line all to itself.

Is there a way to just have her /pet him each time, or does that cause the same problem?
