oooh nice *drools at graphics* (and yes, I got to watch it in HD. my centrino Duo processor might not be helping me much in game, but it lets me play HD vids just fine XD).
Oddly enough, my graphic card can handle second to highest setting with everything turned up to max in-game...except for the fps problem and the 'you DC when the phone rings' problem. I think I'm going to take my laptop in to the local Frys some weekend soon and see if I can find a WoW-playing employee to help me figure out what I need to do to get my little Lenovo up to speed. As it is, if I know I'm grouping these days (like when we did this week), I'll turn the screen res down to lowest setting (but I still keep the detailing/distance on high so I can see what's going on).
...Needs a little work on the scanning of her words to the beat, but I like the lyrics. :)
I've decided to grind Timbermaw rep for a while, BTW. I thought about pugging the rest of the temple (since I need the green dragon whatever it was from in there), but I'm still really leary of doing that--more so because really, I'm not much of a group player, and I'd hate to have people associate our guild with incompetance (since I'm the only one that's really...not that good. :P). I've also been thinking about tossing a random toon into a PvP realm though as well, thinking it might help me with that sort of thing. AI generated threats are easy to predict and fight against, but live peeps can really scramble you game, no matter what side they're on, and I think maybe if I learn how to deal with that randomness a little, it might help for if/when I do find myself doing PuGs.
I'm grinding Timbermaw rep on my Alliance warlock...the first time, by the way, that I have ever done so on any toon. I'm stick midway between revered and exalted because it's the worst and they only take beads - there's no longer rep per kill except rare spawns and elites.
The ex had me well trained. We'd play Final Fantasy games 'together'. IE: I;' get home before her on most days and would grind levels out on the world map. When she'd get home, I'd sit on the couch with the guide book and look up info when she got stuck, and, when the games got more 3D and interactive, I'd play 'look-out' and warn her when things were sneaking up on her (and would tell her when I 'saw blood' in the Resident Evil games so she knew when the zombies were finally officially dead. :) )
Whee! I added her to my circle; can't wait to read about her adventures.
I've actually had an idea for a scene between Ari and Shikha for some time. Maybe Ari will have to come visit one of the last of the Old Guard Horde one of these days and drum with her.
The storytelling will likely be sporadic at first...I still have way too many gaps to do a good, lore-correct post on anything, but I will be posting there.
And I'd love to do a scene--either on journal or in-game (although she's on a different realm in-game, right?)
Yeah, she's over on another server and not by that name (I gave her a dumb name and rolled her waaaay before paid name changes, but I'd always intended to give her that name if I ever had time to level her again.)
I can start a scene in my DW journal if you want? :)
Heh. I have a few toons I've rolled that are like that; I just wanted to get them created incase I seriously decide to try their class/race/whatever out. Some of them don't have the best name in the world...and one I rerolled recently, because although I discovered I liked playing a nelf druid, I figured out that I didn't really like her name or her looks. ^^;
