So, one of the accused at least has been involved in other things before this.
Sadly, the prosecution is lacking evidence, at least at the moment, to support the woman's claims. It looks bad for her.
But what really sets the tone here, is what people have already been saying about the 'alleged' victim, and this quote pretty much sums it up:
“This request is based on the fact that the complaining witness has a history of criminal activity and behavior, which includes alcohol abuse, drug abuse, and dishonesty, all conduct which indicate mental, emotional and/or physical problems, which affect her credibility as a witness,"
In other words, it's still 'she's a whore who gets paid to be a whore. That makes her claim less worthy, if not totally ridiculous.'
I'm willing to say she could have fingered the wrong guys, but I am also willing to believe she got raped by someone. Just because your job is to 'put out', it doesn't make you any less of a human, any less deserving of a fair trial when someone forcibly takes it from you.
Sad thing is, what most people will remember about this case is this:
A black woman accused white men of raping her. Cries of reverse discrimination here.
A stripper accused someone of raping her. How dare she, when that's what she does for a living?
The general American populace still seems to think that if you already do this for a living (and we won't get into how this very unsavory job is likely paying for both her child and her education so that she can get OUT of this lifestyle, because that's usually not valid either), that you've pretty much given up all rights to say where, when, and how a guy can fuck you.
She's trash--she has no rights.
Sometimes, I wonder where peoples' hearts really are...

This woman, right or not, lying or not, is getting nailed for at least two labels--that of 'whore' and 'black woman'...and likely 'single (irresponsible) mom' as well, along with every unsavory stereo-type that goes with each of those words and phrases.

I've had parking tickets. That's criminal activity and behaviour.
I could scream.
But it'd only disturb those who are already listening.
