Close--I'm from central/south Jersey (Hightstown--New Jersey Turnpike exit 8A to be precise...in fact, in those apartments right behind the hotel that's right next to the on/off ramp--if either of those things are still there.)
The Philly and Boston influences don't surprise me. Never did think Philly folks sounded much different, and my mom's mom is definitely from Boston.
I suppose I should be glad that I haven't succumbed to Texas accents yet.
