Burt's Bees is being bought out by Clorox.

And just after my budget got stable enough to buy their products. :/

*sigh*

Unlike most of the posters there, I'm not so worried about the 'sell out' to a 'polluter' company so much as worrying about 1) Them following (or not) the original intent/spirit of the letter/actual processes that the compnay originally has/had and 2) Keeping the ingredients natural, consistant in quality and effect, etc.

At this point, we're headed towards another bout of company monopolies--trying to stop the absorbtion of smaller companies by larger ones, especially with an ill economy in full swing, is like trying to stop high tide in a hurricane. It ain't gonna happen. So the worry and focus should be on the rest of it.

I'll probably keep buying for a little while--until the products get 'industrialized' with cheaper-to-make chemicals, and/or they start tearing up the environment. Until then, I'll hope they see more than just dollar signs, blind hope as that may be.

Hopefully Indy won't mind that I'm following suit here. :)

Anyhow, so when I got my 'extra' money, I knew there would be 'extra' and budgeted some for new clothes and just play stuff. Part of my 'play stuff' happened to be from Burts Bees.

I've been buying their standard lip balm for several years now, and started using the eye creme (which is also incredible, BTW) since June. But one of the things I got on this little spending spree has me squealing, so I thought I'd share. :)
