One of the things I've decided to do is start a gallery 'log' of how I look as I get better, lose weight, and everything else. I'll leave it open, if you guys want to peek in from time to time. I added the first four pics today.

...What's scary? They're 'before and after' pics, as in 'Anne without and then with make-up'.

And the only make-up I put on was foundation around the eyes for the 'after' shots...

I guess that's a good thing, right?

Anyway, for those interested

Commentary welcome, of course. How can I improve without input, right?

Hey, oh photogenic one!

Your face has really thinned out from the last time I saw you! Looking good, 'cita!

*Snerk!* Look who's talking!*g*

Thank you! I'm down to 205 from the start weight of 226 now, and since I've discovered the swimming pool (and you know how I am about swimming pools)...hopefully that face will get even thinner.

Do you believe that's just the powder, and just on my eyes? I'm seeing it, and I'm all 'what the hell?!'

It is pretty amazing, at that. But you always did have amazing skin, so I'm probably not as surprised at it as you.

Of course I'm interested, and I think you look great - esp with sleep and without those bags under the eyes and all. And I do think it's a good thing, very brave in fact.

In fact, I'm almost inspired to do it myself, that is, if you'd like some companionship on your journey to less weight and more healthy living?

Thank you. ^^

Oh, the bags are still there--they're just not as noticable when they've been make-uped! All those pics are all from today within a 15 minute span.

But I am also using eye creams, so they're no where near as bad as they were when I moved in.

Hey, it's always good to have a partner when you do self-improvement stuff--encouragement, challenge, proddings, etc always help. So that would be a 'yes'. *g*

Wow, ok and here I guess I didnt' read well enough, thought they were before and after pics after sleep or something. Which eye cream are you using? I use Oley, but might switch to Mary Kay if I ever win powerball...

And awesome! I will find a scale at work, and get pics of me sans makeup this weekend... must get a new lj for this though, as I think the pics might be too much for some to deal with. *g* I'd be very glad and really honored to join you in your/our self improvement plan!

Hee! and now you know why I was all 'holy shit, all it takes is a little foundation???!'

*g*

But yeah. my eyes really aren't that puffy (as the ones with the foundation prove since I look like I have none at all in those), but they have a really, really bad discoloration problem, which, sadly, I'm afraid I might be stuck with. *frowny face*

As for the non-puffy part, I actually use 'Burts Bees' eye cream. It does a really good job of moisturizing and making the eye skin feel very very smooth and soft. also, nicely lightweight without being runny. I also use their lip balm, which works equally well.

The foundation I used was Cover Girl's 'Simply Powder foundation', 515, natural ivory. I applied it to lids, under the eye and on the bridge and corners of the eyes and nose where it's black/yellow in the non-make-up's shots. I didnt use any other product, and didn't apply makeup anywhere else.

I'll check out the eye cream next paycheck!

Ugh, sleep time, now and I'm off to beddy bye - *grabs stuffed 'Stitch' doll and pink fuzzy slippers and off to bed with me!

I'll email you tomorrow, ok? *hugs*

Ooh ooh ooh, you and I have similar coloring! Also, those cheekbones are wicked sharp. You're lucky.

Purples and greens, surprisingly, go really well together on women with green eyes/dark hair/moderate-to-fair skin when you're talking about eyeshadow. The eye cream does really well on you. :D

Do we now? Very cool.

Yeah, purples, greens, and navy blues. My eyes also pick up pastels and greys really well.

And thanks. I've never really been much of one for either make-up, or the two-hour 'beauty sessions' that a lot of girls get into. But of course, as I get older, the more obvious it is that 'wash and wear' just isn't going to do it for me anymore. Except, perhaps, for my hair. For now, anyway.
