I've hit the weight where any amount of empty sugar gets stored rather than voided. I know this because I haven't eaten any worse than last week, I'm not on the monthly, I am exercising, and I've managed to gain a few pounds back anyway.

So...when I go home, the rest of the chocolate goes into a donation bag, along with the remainder of my salsa and chips. And once I'm done with the current round of yogurt, it'll be plain lowfat yogurt with fresh fruit mixed in from now on.

Ah well--knew that might happen. :/

Before you do that, why not track your inches/centimeters?

*Nods* I was due anyway. I think though, that I might make at least some of those changes anyway--like the yogurt (I think there'll be less salt involved as well if I make my own fruit mix), and the chips/salsa thing. I tend to want a handful of triscuits over the chip/salsa thing these days (although that's slowly getting replaced by a craving for shredded wheat ceral, which is probably even better for me).

The chocolate part might make me cry though...and I still can't bring myself to change out the coffee creamer--I found out the stuff I tried out still had the artificial sweetners in it (it was just elsewhere on the packaging than where I was looking), and it didn't taste as good anyway. :/

I suppose I can just start using milk and melted chocolate in my coffee. XD.

I honestlythink that would be better. Sweet cream, melted chocolate...Just stir it into the drink. And maybe a little more protein.

Dark chocolate, or going darker? Might be better. The thought of giving up chocolate makes me wanna cry too, frankly. But you know how I am about my drugs.

I tend towards 60% cacao or higher when I can find it.

Although...wait. That's right, this last batch was a screw-up--I thought I had gotten hold of cacoa and it was milk chocolate instead, but, well, can't waste food. Just had smaller portions thinking it would be ok. So I guess that's part of the lesson right there; no touchy the milky stuff. Iz Bahd 4 U.

Hey, I'm over here with the coffee and chocolate myself (and music. Yes, music is a drug--I promise you this), so you won't hear squeak or squawk from me. :).

At this point, I'm just grateful my taste for black berry brandy and whiskey-and-coke isn't a driving need or anything. Although, since I mentioned it, I'm obviously thinking about it. That only took me, what, five months before I've even thought about having a drink? :)

Giving it away is wasteful? But yeah, I can't deal with milk chocolate anymore. I feel...off after I eat it. I'd heard that the Aztecs (or maybe the mayans) used to mix their cacao with wine. It was bitter, but I'm thinking that red wine and cacao might put together a hella buzz once the bitterness is mediated into something tolerable.

I so love living in a world where women have access to chocolate. :D

That right there? Looks like a personal testimony that I'd like to see more of this-a-way (http://www.cupandspoon.com/index/viewforum.php?f=130&sid=6d89acf88d2a64bd4b8f90a492a5def1).

:?

I missed you last night, btw. I nearly almost called. I went by Chocolate Fashion for my fix. Anne, they *know* me. They shaved chocolate on top of the frothed milk. When I got 4/5's down through the liquid, I hit chocolate slurry.

O.O

Felt so good.

Maybe, you're in a position where the brandy and whiskey would be good for you rather than more toxins. You were sick on food that doesn't at all suit you for a long time. I can't imagine you drinking brandy or whiskey with that bizarro sugar nastiness thing you were suffering.

Heh. No, giving it away isn't wasteful. The problem is being surrounded by people who are also trying to lose weight. *g*

I really don't like the taste of it, either. Which made it tons easier to have only small portions.

Heh, okay. I'll write something, maybe two somethings, this weekend. Fair enough?

Missed you, too, although I was a bit out of it, which is why I avoided everything online.

It was a bad and ugly day, I was falling asleep on the couch, and I had to start the game over because I mucked something up. Which meant catching those stupid fish again. Which means I spent four hours in between nodding off trying to catch the last fish and ending up catching nada. :/ Grrrr. I just want my last fish so I can go do something a bit more useful. Like hunting deer. XD.

That sounds like a great drink--also, being known is not bad usually. Regulars often get star treatment if they're cool regulars. :)

...It's possible. Don't want to get into it too much though because that's empty cals I really don't need. Still, I might invest in a small bottle of one or each, or even just a tiny bottle of Drambue and a shot glass for really those cold nights when I'm choking on my own snot (which hopefully will not be often). I know that I don't want it becoming a habit, even if I'm watching how much I drink. It's not necessary in most cases, and I'd like my remaining braincells to stay alive (not to mention I'm not really a drinker anyway) *g*.

Guess I'll take a trip across the street and check out the liqour store sometime this week in any case...

Oh. Well...that can be problematic. I'd wrap it up and put it in the work refrigerator. :D

Bleah. No matter how much of that I eat, I still don't get enough chocolate.

Heh, okay. I'll write something, maybe two somethings, this weekend. Fair enough?

Sure. It's not that deep. You see how I post in those forums. :D

Hunh? Wait, work and gaming?

Hee.

I love how my parents say Drambuie. That stuff is strong. It knocks a cough on its situpon.

I would, but for some reason the people in my department actually understand 'don't touch it if it's not yours'. XD.

I suppose I could leave it in the mailroom for some random nurse to make off with it.

Yeah. Work was hell and then the supposedly relaxing attempt at getting my fish was more along the lines of vaguely annoying (vaguely because I kept wanting to nap). As for why I want the stupid fish--you get a ring out of it that if you keep it on means you don't have to worry about drowning, no matter how long you stay underwater. Very useful, especially when your character is new and can;t cast a decent 'breathe under water' spell for very long. :)

It is good stuff--the only liquor I really like 'as is'. But yeah, it can hurt you BAD if you drink too much at once.

Keep the salsa, and have it on eggs. Eggs are a wonderful protein and are more lo-cal than people give them credit for. And, salsa has vitamin C and lycopene. Also, salsa on beans = good.

Know what else is good? Rice and eggs with salsa. Make rice...brown rice...and scramble an egg, and put on top of your rice, and top with salsa. It's filling, low fat and yum.

You're right about the chips...the chips have to go.

*nods*

Thanks. :)

The biggest issue with the salsa is actually the salt content.

I tend to eat rather healthy, all things considered, but what tends to kill me on the 'healthy food' side is my salt intake (Recommended daily amount is 2,000 mgs or less--I tend to ingest between 3,000-4,000 if I'm not paying attention). And I'm getting to that age where the family blood pressure issue is sure to come into effect soon, even with me taking care of myself, so...

I wonder if I can find some good salsa recipies somewhere--least that way I can cut the salt out, or at least down. I mean, the low sodium V8 tasted weird at first, but now I like it, so the salsa shouldn't be much different.

Oh yeah, homemade salsa rocks. John makes a good salsa fresca...he just chops tomatoes and peppers and onions and garlic fine, then puts lime juice on it and some cilantro, then bakes the whole mess in a low oven till it kinds of comes together. Yumz.
