I've hit the weight where any amount of empty sugar gets stored rather than voided. I know this because I haven't eaten any worse than last week, I'm not on the monthly, I am exercising, and I've managed to gain a few pounds back anyway.

So...when I go home, the rest of the chocolate goes into a donation bag, along with the remainder of my salsa and chips. And once I'm done with the current round of yogurt, it'll be plain lowfat yogurt with fresh fruit mixed in from now on.

Ah well--knew that might happen. :/

Thanks. :)

The biggest issue with the salsa is actually the salt content.

I tend to eat rather healthy, all things considered, but what tends to kill me on the 'healthy food' side is my salt intake (Recommended daily amount is 2,000 mgs or less--I tend to ingest between 3,000-4,000 if I'm not paying attention). And I'm getting to that age where the family blood pressure issue is sure to come into effect soon, even with me taking care of myself, so...

I wonder if I can find some good salsa recipies somewhere--least that way I can cut the salt out, or at least down. I mean, the low sodium V8 tasted weird at first, but now I like it, so the salsa shouldn't be much different.

Oh yeah, homemade salsa rocks. John makes a good salsa fresca...he just chops tomatoes and peppers and onions and garlic fine, then puts lime juice on it and some cilantro, then bakes the whole mess in a low oven till it kinds of comes together. Yumz.
