You read an article today about a favorite rockstar getting a new girl back in November, and you immediately start looking for all her faults and gnashing your teeth over her possible flaws.
I swear, The Boys have ruined me for life.
No, wait, Jon did. Him and that stupid vampire movie.
You hear me, Jon? You've ruined me! Now I'm even agonizing over your guitarist! GAH!
:P !

But that doesn't necessarily make her, which-ever 'her' it is, a good match in the relationship department. Maybe since this one is mostly behind the scenes rather than up on stage, she'll be in better shape and not be crazy, drug ridden, or starving for media attention. One can hope. Because Richie needs some stability, sense and reality in his life.
(And just a note: I know there are perfectly sensible, wonderful, stable, mature people in modeling and acting and all that. Richie's skill at finding those people and keeping them, though? Not so great so far.)

Date: 2008-01-27 10:21 pm (UTC)By the same token, there's plenty of Cali folks in the biz that stay out of the limelight (and out of trouble)--either because both people in their relationships know to stay out of the limelight, or the one who is famous has an SO who is decidedly not in the biz...and tends to be, you guessed it, down to earth and 'every day'. So...some of it is as much Richie making poor choices as it is a supposed 'unavailability' of sane folks to be hanging with. I think he's got a little too much glitter in his eyes and needs to wash it out, if you know what I mean.
