Some of the 'better' ones have gourmet cooks for the staff and visitor cafeteria, but we aren't one of them.
We supposedly share the same menu with the patients that don't have a particular dietary requirement.
Thing is, on the past three weeks or so, everything has had high content of either black pepper, chili, or crushed red pepper. They're putting tabasco sauce in things like split pea soup or New England clam chowder.
And not just enough to give the food a 'kick', but enough that you can't even taste the food.
To put this in perspective? I've been known to eat genuine green mustard by the spoonful, and this food they're serving is hotter than even I can stand...
