You know, people, even if he was born in Kenya, Obama still had American citizenship through his mother. It's no different than if Mom had had him in England, France, whatever, and then shipped him home. And I'm pretty damned sure his birth certificate is floating around somewhere.

Also 'the highest voter turnout in ages is not the same as the 'mere 38%' you keep quoting. Maybe that 'mere' is the usually mere of the white votership. Everyone else actually got into voting this time around, though. Kinda scary to find out you aren't the biggest baddest group here, huh?

Now, Geez. Just shut up already.

Yeah, what you said! An American mother makes for an American baby, no matter where he was actually born. Citizenship is automatically conveyed. And, don't be bringing up the birth certificate thing unless you want to get in a big discussion about the Panama Canal Zone and if it was or was not part of the United States in 1936. Plus, Obama is the president-elect now so they need to just get over it already, the same way I've gritted my teeth and withstood the current administration for the last eight years.

On a side note I'm fixing to get all soapboxy on the people that say abbreviating "Christmas" to "Xmas" removes Christ from the word. X is pronounced Chi for pity's sake, and it's been an abbreviation for Christ for thousands of years. Doesn't anyone study Greek in Sunday School anymore??

Worse. The two I had the pleasure of listening to this morning claimed he didn't even have one/no one has ever seen one. So, not even a forged one. He apparently doesn't have one at all.

People give me headaches sometimes. Also, it's been one of those times when I seriously think 'You all make me ashamed to be white'.
