Silverthorne

Okay, so two doesn't equal a plague, but still. Another gecko has found its way into my life...and my office.

Don't think it's the same one--it's bigger and orange-tinted (The smaller guy was yellow-brown). Found him behind the coffee pot though when I moved it to put water in it.

He's kinda cute, actually. Other than chasing him off behind desk's wall partition so I don't accidentally squish him, I let him be. Outside is two wall cracks away, and it's definitely warmer in here, and I don't mind the free bug control.

...That's the second one in a month or so, though. Gecko=Lizard=Dreaming.

Wonder if I should be looking into that?

Also: a reason to actually like living in Texas:

Got to see a lovely fireworks display in the form of a huge thunderstorm cell two states to the east. Absolutely gorgeous (although the people located under the storm may beg to differ). You don't get to see that in foresty or hilly places (unless it's the foothills in Tucson, and the storm is coming in at the opposite end of the valley.).

Feeling slightly depressed, which I think happens to most people around this time of year, despite the intentions of the season. Doesn't help that it's monthly time, the house hold budget is so tight it's ass squeaks, I'm out of my herbals, and I miss my family...

Wow...whine whine whine. Anybody else hear the puppy squeals?

Anyhow, I refuse to be depressed, so...a little exercise...(To be added to as I think of more and have the time at work).

I have a loving family, even if I can't go see them this year.

I have a cool supervisior (who isn't yelling at me while I take a break and type this).
I have lovely, loving pets, including an eighteen year-old cat who is still going strong.
I have interbuttnet. DSL internet no less. (And some people can't even afford a computer with 56k access.
I have two video game systems and plenty of games to go with them.
I have music
I have a roof over my head.
I have food and clothes.
I have twenty dollars in my savings account (better than nothing!)
I have a working, legal car.
The state renewed my driver's license six months after the fact without making me come in for a drivers test.
I have my sight, hearing, and ability to walk.
I am healthy.
I am loved.
