I shouldn't have to say this, but...
Although pinching and kissing and all that stuff is considered traditional in the US today? Try not to do it to folks who obviously don't celebrate the holiday, all right? Keep it in good, playful, wanted fun.
Much love and thanks from the genetically half-irish girl. :)
Love and luck to you all.

This will be...
Nov. 21st, 2007 10:09 pmThe first holiday in ten years that doesn't involve stress, fear, second guessing myself and/or someone else, some sort of nasty 'good morning' fight and/or passive aggressive snipping, and dreading spending a day or four in the same house with someone that I supposedly love.
Instead, it will be spent with me in PJs, and maybe at some point jeans and a nice big baggy sweater that smells good, whatever I feel like throwing on the TV and/or the CD player (For the TV, It'll either be Heroes or Firefly, since I need to find out what the big deal is with both series. *g*), calling my family at half time, getting fed cornish hen provided by my boss and her mom, who both decided that even if I don't budge from my place, that I should still have some sort of poultry cooked by a mom *g*, and pretty much just having a nice, quiet, restful time off and to myself.
That right there is more than enough to be thankful for.

*Sigh* Fuck political correctness...
Mar. 17th, 2007 08:43 amFor those of you who don't know about St. Patrick driving the 'snakes', AKA: Druids, out of Ireland, and just use this day to celebrate being (or wanting to be) Irish, or to go out and just have a damned good time with your friends, Happy St. Patrick's day.
For those of you who do, and hold onto that, you have my condolences, and I will have a moment of silence to remember what existed (and is being regained by some) before the christians came before I go and have my fun.
No matter who you are, have a good day, love your friends and family and enemies, and don't be an idiot about drinking and then doing stupid things like driving drunk.
--Anne Campbell, daughter of Argyll on my dad's side, and the Magees and the Murphys on my mom's, raised catholic, and now pagan. And proud of all of it.

OOOhhhhh....Monthly update.
Jun. 1st, 2005 06:15 amI'm alive! Yay!
Doing good! *double yay!*
Having fun *g*
Thought/question for the day:
Yesterday was one of those 'official day for celebrating --blat--' days. You know, the days when you're supposed to acknowledge whatever it is, maybe get into it a little and enjoy it if you can? Like National Jelly Bean Day or National Nurses Week. You know, that sort of thing.
So tell me, am I off my rocker, or is there something intrinsically creepy/weird/fucked up/ Just Plain Wrong about National Hysterectomy Day? Especially when it involves having about four times the usual amount of patients coming in for, yes, hysteroctomys.
Just asking....

Merry Christmas, Happy Yule
Celebrate Hannuka?
Same to you.
No matter your path,
I wish you all well
As we all feast,
and listen to bells...
And with that now said
And wishes now sent
I'll quit writing poetry
Decidely bent
And leave you to familys
And Holiday cheer
Hope everyone's well
At this time of year...
Love and Hugs to Everyone!
